Best Places in Tacoma Washington for ’10 Things I Hate About You’ Fans to Visit
Calling all 90s kids. If you grew up around low rise jeans, Brittany Spears, and shopping at Limited Too you probably know this movie too. Born in 1997, I grew up watching ’10 Things I Hate About You’ and after re-watching it as an adult it is better than I remember. Based on the Shakespearean novel ‘Taming of the Shrewd”, the romantic comedy ’10 Things I Hate About You’ is an icon of the early 2000s. If you are also an early 2000s movie junkie here are some of the spots to see all the ’10 Things I Hate About You’ filming locations.
Stratford House
2715 N. Junett Street in Tacoma
If you are in the market for a new home the Stratford House is up for sale for 1.6 million dollars. Although the house was under construction when I visited you can still drive by and imagine Kat sitting on the white railing of the porch.

Broadway Street
Downtown Tacoma is adorable. There are museums and shops to explore. The legendary scene when Kat rams into Joey’s car is shot on Broadway Street located in the downtown region.
Alki Beach for views of Seattle
Alki Beach is a bit of a drive from Tacoma. It is in West Seattle and has perfect views of the city skyline. If you are looking for a relaxed way to experience Seattle Alki Beach is the place to do it. You will see kayaks and boaters during warm summer months just like in the movie.

Stadium High School
It is hard to believe that someone would build a such an architecturally impressive high school that gives off Hogwarts vibes. That is because they did not. Stadium High School was originally built to be a luxury hotel, but when the builders ran out of money and it was abandoned in to 1800s. In 1906 the school board purchased the building and it has been a high school ever since. Can you just imagine walking through your old high school knowing Health Leader shot a movie there? Sign me up. Would not mind going back to high school if it means I could go here.
Second floor of parking lot for views of the Stadium
Everyone remembers the scene of the movie when silk serenades Kat with the song “Can’t Take My Eye Off you” on the bleachers. Even when watching this movie, I did not think it was attached a real high school because the stadium is huge. You will recognize it instantly. While I couldn’t find a way to get on the field, I did find the perfect spot to view the infamous stadium. The school’s parking lot in the movie has now turned into a parking deck. The second floor of the parking deck provides great views of the water, school, and stadium field.
Coming of age movies are my favorite genre, so this movie will always hold a special place in my heart. ’10 Things I Hate About You’ filming locations are a must see when in Tacoma, Washington. Be sure not to miss anything while you are in town.
